How to make a complaint
A clear route, with evidence
1. Write to the business
State what happened, what outcome you want and attach copies of relevant evidence.
2. Keep the response
Deadlines vary by product. The business should explain its response and any onward complaint rights.
3. Escalate if eligible
The Financial Ombudsman Service and Claims Management Ombudsman are free for consumers. Check their eligibility and time limits directly.
